Privacy Policy

Rise ("we", "our", "the app") is an alarm clock that asks you to complete a short wake-up mission, such as push-ups, squats or making your bed, before the alarm turns off. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it is stored, and your rights under GDPR, CCPA and other applicable laws.

Data We Collect

Rise does not require an account. The information you enter stays on your device:

• Alarms: times, repeat days, names and mission settings
• Wake-up history: completed, missed and rest days, streaks and badges
• Your written wake-up reason and whether you signed your commitment (the signature drawing itself is not saved)
• Answers from the onboarding questions and app preferences, such as Strict Mode and rest days

Rise does not include analytics, crash reporting or advertising software.

Data Storage

All of the data above is stored in a private file inside the app's container on your iPhone. It is not uploaded to our servers, and we do not operate servers that receive it. Deleting the app deletes this data. If you use iCloud or computer backups, iOS may include the app's data in those backups according to your device settings.

Camera

Rise uses the camera only while a wake-up mission is on screen. Camera frames are analyzed in real time on your device with Apple's Vision framework to detect body position and count repetitions. The make-your-bed mission shows a live camera view. Rise does not record, save or upload photos or video.

Alarms and Notifications

Alarms are scheduled on your device with Apple's AlarmKit and, as a fallback, local notifications. No push-notification server is involved.

Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store processes subscription payments. We never see your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat manages subscription status. To validate purchases it receives an anonymous app user ID, transaction and subscription details, and basic device and app information (such as OS version, app version, locale and IP address). It is not used to identify you or for advertising. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We Do Not Sell or Track You

Rise shows no ads, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not sell or share your personal information.

Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Because your wake-up data never leaves your device, you can view, change or delete it at any time in the app, or remove it completely by deleting the app. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, you can ask us to access, correct or delete them by contacting us below. We process purchase data to provide the subscription you requested (performance of a contract).

Your Rights (CCPA / California)

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. You may request access to or deletion of purchase records by contacting us below, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Data Retention

Data on your device is kept until you delete it or the app. RevenueCat retains transaction records for as long as needed to manage your subscription and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Children's Privacy

Rise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
